Journal History

The International Journal of Education and Digital Learning (IJEDL) was founded in 2021 under the management of Lafadz Publishing with a clear mission: to provide a global scholarly platform for advancing educational research through the integration of digital technologies. Since the release of its inaugural issue — Volume 1, Number 1 (October 2021) — IJEDL has rapidly developed into a dynamic forum for international academic dialogue, steadily strengthening its position in the field of digital learning and educational innovation.

Published six times a year (February, April, June, August, October, and December), IJEDL showcases high-quality, original research that bridges theory and practice in education, with a particular focus on the transformative role of digital technologies in learning environments. The journal emphasizes forward-looking studies that respond to the evolving global landscape of education in the digital era.

A defining feature of IJEDL is its strong international orientation. The journal actively engages scholars, editors, and readers from diverse academic communities, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, India, and the United States, among others. This cross-border participation enriches the journal’s intellectual character, encourages comparative perspectives, and promotes meaningful global academic exchange. IJEDL’s international visibility is further strengthened through its integration with Crossref, ensuring that every published article is properly indexed, traceable, and accessible to the worldwide research community.

In terms of editorial management, IJEDL operates using the Open Journal Systems (OJS 3) platform, which supports an efficient and transparent submission process. All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review, ensuring academic rigor, objectivity, and publication quality. As an Open Access journal licensed under Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0, IJEDL makes all published research freely available, reinforcing its commitment to equitable global knowledge dissemination. Articles are published in English and Indonesian, enabling wider international communication while maintaining regional inclusivity.

IJEDL covers a broad spectrum of topics in education and digital learning, including educational technology, online learning systems, digital curriculum design, and the pedagogical impact of digital tools. Beyond technical innovation, the journal also addresses the social, cultural, and ethical dimensions of digital education, particularly issues of equity, access, and global disparities in educational technology. By examining digital education across varied international contexts, IJEDL provides valuable insights for researchers, educators, and policymakers worldwide.

Under the guidance of its editorial leadership at Lafadz Publishing, IJEDL continues to grow as a progressive, inclusive, and internationally engaged journal, dedicated to disseminating transformative ideas in 21st-century education. Through its sustained commitment to innovation, academic quality, and global collaboration, IJEDL stands as an emerging hub for scholarly discourse in digital learning on the international stage.
